Software development
We build products, not one-off projects.
Web and mobile applications, CRM and AI systems, from the first idea to a product in production. We build our own products too, so we run development as a partner rather than a contractor on one project.
What we build
Four things, properly.
01
Web applications
SaaS platforms, webshops, dashboards and internal tools. Next.js and React, from first sketch to production.
02
Mobile applications
iOS and Android from one Flutter codebase, including the store submissions nobody enjoys.
03
CRM and business systems
Systems cut to the process you actually run, replacing spreadsheets and manual re-entry.
04
AI automation
Document handling, summaries and repetitive answers, automated where the numbers support it.
Working with us
How a project runs.
01
Call
What the software has to do, who uses it, and what it is competing against today.
02
Written proposal
Scope, timeline and price in writing, before anyone commits.
03
Iterative build
Progress on a staging URL you can open, not screenshots in a status email.
04
Launch and after
Deployment, credentials handed over, and maintenance if you want it.
The stack
Next.js and React with TypeScript on the front end, Node.js or Python on the back end, PostgreSQL or Firebase for data, Flutter for mobile, Vercel or Google Cloud for hosting.
It is a deliberately boring list. These are the tools we use for our own products, which means we know their failure modes, and it means that in five years your application will not be maintained by someone meeting an exotic framework for the first time.
Portfolio
Eleven products, our own among them.

Questions
FAQ
Do you work with clients outside Croatia?+
Yes, and the timezone is why it works. We are in Central European Time, so the working day overlaps the whole EU and most of the UK. Documentation, tickets and calls are in English.
How do you invoice an EU client?+
CAUTUS SISTEMI d.o.o. is a Croatian limited company with an EU VAT ID, so you get a regular EU invoice. For clients VAT-registered in another member state the reverse charge applies.
Who owns the code?+
You do. Code, database and credentials are handed over, and handover documentation is part of delivery rather than something you have to negotiate at the end.
What does a project cost?+
It follows scope. After a first call at no charge you get a written quote with price and timeline. For smaller projects the analysis takes a few days; for larger ones we agree the scope of that analysis with you first.

Have an idea? Let's talk.
Tell us about the project. For smaller ones we send an analysis and a quote within a few days. For larger and more complex work we agree the scope of that analysis with you first.
