The brief

Peloza d.o.o. sells Evolution Power Tools in Croatia, and the physical shop, the point of sale and the courier relationship all existed already. The webshop could not be a display window off to one side; it had to be part of that machinery. Shipping priced off the courier's real tariff, stock from the real warehouse, and orders that end up as real parcels.

What the customer gets

The catalogue is bilingual, Croatian and English, organised into a category tree, with search that understands synonyms so a customer finds the product without knowing its exact name. Products carry variants with their own codes, prices and weights, PDF documentation with manuals and parts lists, and a wishlist.

  • Three ways to pay: card through Stripe, cash on delivery, and bank transfer for business customers.
  • Proper business invoices with the company tax number, plus a B2B price list with the agreed discount.
  • An enquiry flow for price-on-request items and for customers in neighbouring countries.
  • A customer account holding orders, enquiries and profile.

Shipping priced off the courier's real tariff

Delivery cost is calculated at checkout from the real InTime courier tariff: weight bands times three zones, with postcodes mapped to zones, a fuel surcharge, value insurance and a cash-on-delivery fee. Heavy orders are routed to an enquiry, because pallet freight does not follow a parcel price list.

Every order lands in the admin panel with the full shipping calculation attached, so fulfilment happens in the same system that produced the order.

Stock comes from the point of sale, not from memory

The warehouse point of sale exports stock levels, and the webshop pulls that export automatically through the working day, updating availability per product and per variant in a single transaction. Products missing from the export move to enquiry status, with a safety brake: if an export arrives truncated, the system skips it rather than falsely switching off half the catalogue. Nobody retypes anything.

Admin panel and AI translation

The shop is run from a purpose-built admin panel: products with images, documents and variants, orders with shipment creation, enquiries with statuses, customers with B2B activation, categories and settings. Admin accounts have roles, and every change leaves a trail.

English catalogue content is generated automatically: descriptions are translated from Croatian through the Claude API, and manually corrected translations are protected from being overwritten. Two languages, one data entry.

Result

The webshop is live and public at evolutionpowertools.hr. The whole chain, from catalogue and checkout to courier shipment and stock levels, runs through one system connected to a business that existed long before the website did.
