Healthcare carries two obstacles other industries do not: a state system you have to connect to, and data that counts as a special category under GDPR. We have been through both.
The hard part of this industry
In Croatia the national health system is called CEZIH, and it is not an ordinary API. Certification happens before anything goes live, and ePrescription, eReferral and insurance checks have to work first time, because the patient is standing at the desk.
On top of that, health data is a special category of personal data, so access rules, access logs and where the data is stored are conditions rather than an afterthought.

What we built
Klinika Hub runs private practices and clinics. It passed CEZIH certification, and ePrescription, eReferral and insurance checks go through it, alongside scheduling, patient records and doctor rosters.
For Valens Medical we built a clinic site with online booking, where the job of the site is to bring in an appointment rather than only to look good.
What a practice usually asks for
These are the items that most often end up in scope, working outwards from scheduling.
- Booking with a schedule per doctor and per room.
- Patient records and history, with control over who reaches them.
- Integration with the national health system for prescriptions and referrals.
- Reminders that cut no shows.
- Reporting for the owner: utilisation, revenue per service, returning patients.
Pharmacies
Pharmacy systems share the same obstacle, a connection to state infrastructure and strict record keeping, with their own topics on top: stock, batches and expiry. We cover the domain with the same approach and agree scope per site.

Have you worked with the national health system?+
Yes. We passed certification for CEZIH, the Croatian national health information system, and ePrescription, eReferral and insurance status checks run through our system.
Where is patient data stored?+
On European infrastructure, under a data processing agreement. Access is role based and record openings are logged, so it is always clear who reached what.
Can we keep our current booking system?+
You can. If it exposes an interface we can connect to, we build above it instead of replacing it. If it does not, we agree a data migration as part of the rollout.
Do you work with single practices, not only clinics?+
Yes. The scope is smaller but the obstacles are the same, so the approach is the same. After the first conversation you get a written estimate with scope and price.
